Epson PowerLite LCD Projector, $999.95, 0.00% raised
Epson PowerLite LCD Projector
Single Unit Why I need this:
I believe that my instruction would improve in leaps and bounds if I were able to use an LCD projector. With an LCD, I could use more video and audio activities, as well as more visual aids to all my lessons (i.e. pictures for presenting vocabulary, or color coded presentations of sentence mapping, etc...). With an LCD, I could also allow my students to use technology more when preparing their projects. Currently, a power point presentation is not an option because we don't have a projector, but I hope that in the future we get to have and use one! ;-)

ACE Technical Charter High School
Class Information:
Room Number: 212
Students per Class: 120
Class Description:
This is the first level Spanish class where students are introduced to the language as well as to the idea of being bilingual and the benefits that would entail. After the first year, the students should be able to give and obtain the basic information about someone/something(i.e. day, time, date, weather, birthday, age, name, telephone number, email address, likes and dislikes, etc.) as well as understand and use basic survival vocabulary (hotel and travel arrangements, foods, directions and locations).
Position:
Spanish teacher
Needs:
We are in grave need of technology! My students just got the textbooks for Spanish (November) and I am grateful and happy we have those, but I always want more and better things for them and technology would be an excellent way to both present the material in more than one way as well as differentiate the instruction.
My Philosophy:
I believe teachers always need to fight to get the best of everything for their students. For me, personally, this not only means searching for materials and grants, but also making sure that I, as a teacher, am aware of changes in teaching practices as well as in technology and the word as to offer the best education possible to each student.
