Class Description:
I have a first grade class with a lot of boys. I find that boys love to experiment and technology hits the spot for them. I have a lot of students that are on free or reduced lunch.

Needs:
A document camera and a Sympodium DT770 Interactive Pen Display (17") would be great in my classroom. I would like a classroom set of Ipods with touch screens. That way the students could make podcasts, record their books they write, or read and record books they read. I would like the students to share their work with others on the internet. My Philosophy:
I believe every child can learn but a teacher needs to find a key to get them interested in learning and then bring into the classroom new and up to date tools to watch the creativity begin and grow. The one thing that makes teaching fun it the look on a child's face of excitement and wonder in finding out more about what they are learning.

About Me:
I am a first grade teacher and I love technology. I love teaching children and find the love of teaching in my students.
College and Degrees:
I have a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, B.S. in one to six grade, and a masters in Technology in Education.
Activities:
I love to quilt, take pictures, work on the computer, and spend time with my husband.

Interests:

Employment History:
The first half of my teaching years were spent teaching at a Chatholic School. The last half were spent at a public school.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach for the smiles on my students faces when they get what I am teaching. The excitement in their voices when they say, "This is easy!" The way they hug me everyday before they go home. I just love to teach children.
