Mrs. Margaret Werner
Add Me as a Friend!
Robert E Aylor Middle School
Class Information:
Room Number: library
Students per Class: 600
Class Description:
I eventually see every student in the school, but my average daily number of visitors is 100 per day. These kids will range from 6th graders to the eighth graders.
Position:
Librarian
Needs:
We would really like some digital cameras. We have 5 that still use a 3 1/2 inch floppy, and 3 that need a mini CD.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I wear many hats, have many jobs, and have many titles, but of all my names, Mommy is my dearest.
College and Degrees:
I received my BS in Secondary Education (English) from California University of Pennsylvania, and then I earned my MS in Library Science from Old Dominion University.
Activities:
The only "activities" that I seem to be able to maintain would be cataloging, organizing, instructing, parenting all day. After which, I'm too tired to join any more "activities".
Favorite Books:
As a Middle School Librarian my taste in books tends to fall under the young adult category, and of course my "favorite", changes quickly. Right now, no one can beat Suzanne Collins' Hunger Game series.
Favorite Quotes:
"A room without books is like a body without a soul." -Marcus Tullius Cicero
Interests:
When I do get time to breath, I like to garden, paint, swim and walk with my two girls, and if by some miracle I can squeeze it in, I read.
Employment History:
Jackson Middle School, Aiken County, SC (4 years) Sherando High School, Frederick County, VA (3 years) Robert E. Aylor Middle School, Frederick County, VA (3 years)
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I love to learn, to share, to grow, to help, and to laugh.
