Martin Luther King Elem School
Class Information:
Room Number: 3
Students per Class: 19
Class Description:
I have 19 students in my wonderful classroom. We have 10 who are English Language Learners with home languages that include Russian, Romanian and Spanish. Many of my class come from low income homes. My class is 10 boys and 9 girls who range in age from barely 5 to almost 7. They are as unique as can be and never cease to amaze me with they compassionate and caring nature for each other, their roaring senses of humor and their insight into the everyday. If one student struggles, 3 or 4 run to help; if one succeeds, they all puff with pride as if it were their own success. My classroom of learners is as rich in personality and life as their contemporaries across town with all the money.
Position:
Teacher
Needs:
We would benefit greatly from a document camera and projector set. This tool would help me to better provide visuals for my English Language Learners and for my students who need very explicit step-by-step directions. The real life time of a document camera allows them to share their work with the class and to see others ideas.
