Class Description:
I teach Kindergarten through 5th grade physical Education. I have taught for 24 years. In my classes, we move and learn about our bodies and how to keep it healthy and strong. We also learn about lifetime skills and activities so that hopefully these students can make choices as they get older to stay active and healthy.

Needs:
I would like to have a Flip video camera for my classes. This can be used as an assessment tool by both myself and by the students themselves. As students do activities, if they are video taped, then they are able to see exactly how they are performing these activities. They can correct them if necessary or they can see that they are doing them correctly.
My Philosophy:
In assessment, if a student can see results quickly, a teacher can probably get more from a student. Like anyone, These students want to know they have been successful and that is one of the most important parts of being a teacher--helping these kids find success in whatever they do.

Why Do I Teach?:
It is so enjoyable to watch children come alive as they learn new things. I also enjoy just being around kids.
