Class Description:
I will work with 60 7th grade students and 30 8th grade students in a reading/language arts classroom. I say I will because prior to the 2008/2009 school year, I was teaching 6th grade science.
Position:
Language Arts Teacher
Needs:
I am interested in building a listening center in my classroom where students can listen to books on either cassette tape recorders or ipods. I would like to have three - five tape recorders or ipods. I would prefer the ipods because I believe they would appeal to the students more than a tape recorder.
My Philosophy:
I believe that I will be dealing with students reading at many different levels. I also believe that all students have various learning styles. My goal is to provide activities that reach all learners while also using technology.
