Why I need this:
I use digital media on a daily basis to deliver and enhance instruction in all curriculum areas. Our building has a limited number of projectors available for use with about 20 classrooms to service. The projectors are frequently in use and hard to reserve.
I often produce my own digital movies to use with my students that directly address the curriculum requirements of my students. In order to best show these digital movies I need to have a projector in my classroom everyday. The videos I produce serve to reinforce and augment the learning we do in all areas. I have developed a take-home video review system to help student review for assessments. On a most recent science assessment my video review program enabled 100% of my students to meet the standard (including special ed students). It also enabled over 50% of my students to achieve a score of 100% on the the assessment.
My use of digital media has helped all students to grow and succeed as learners. With a projector in my room everyday it will further enhance my use of digital media.
We also have access to smart board technology in our building. With a projector in my room everyday I could better access and utilize our smart boards. |
