Class Description:
I presently teach two classes of 60 students. Our school teaches Cantonese as a first language in K-5, then in 6-8th grade the students learn Mandarin. Prior to coming to my class the students are learning Science in Cantonese. Since I teach Earth Science, Language Arts, as well as Ancient History, I try to integrate all my curriculum with Technology. I want the students to be active participants in the 21st Century.
Position:
Teacher
Needs:
I presently have (6) computers in the classroom. I would like the the flip videos to enhance the curriculum. Teaching students to edit, design project based activities is quite essential for 21st Century participants.
My Philosophy:
I have been involved in numerous summer fellowships, and workshops from DOE-TRAC, NASA-Stellar, Yale National Initiative, Chabot Space and Science Center, Stanford, etc. and I have found having these opportunities have challenged me as an instructor to be more integrated with technology. Most of the time educational grants do not address technology, and the Digital Wish would enable me to bring the additional technology to the classroom.

Why Do I Teach?:
I am presently entering my 24th year of teaching. I found that every year I am driven to have the students,"Reach for the Stars". I try to integrate my curriculum to address the 21st Century learners.
