Class Description:
Loma Linda is a Title 1 school and 95% of the students are on free or reduced lunch plans. My class consists of 26 7 and 8 year old ELL learners. My students are excited to come to school each day. They are active participants in their learning.
Position:
2nd grade teacher
Needs:
We need classroom supplies so that the students can have as many hand on opportunities as possible. The students will be more engaged and have a higher retention when they are able to actively take part in their learning.
My Philosophy:
All students can succeed! All students, regardless of their background and home life, should have access to the tools needed to make their education the best it can be.

About Me:
This is my third year teaching 2nd grade and I love it. I am a native of Phoenix moved back after college to get my Masters in Education. I have always had a passion for children, especially those from the "tougher" areas of town.

Why Do I Teach?:
I love children. It is important to me that they have positive role models that truly care about them. As a teacher I am able to instill positive values in my students. My goal is to end each year with all of my students at grade level and see how much they have grown emotionally and academically.
