Woodbine Cmty High School
Class Information:
Room Number: 108
Students per Class: 85
Class Description:
I teach 10th through 12th grade science. This year, that included Biology, Chemistry, Applied Science, and Anatomy & Physiology. Next year I will teach Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, Forensics, and Zoology. I will also mentor Physics. Our students are overall very hard working and polite. It's good working in a small school. One unique thing about being a preK-12 building is the opportunity to work not only in interdisciplinarysettings, but also across grade levels. My classroom is only three years old, so the sinks, fume hood, etc. are new, but the technology isn't. And so we move on to the "Needs section."
Position:
science
Needs:
I really need student computers. I have internet hook ups, but no computers. I also facilitate the largest study hall, so in addition to science use, I know they would get used for writing papers and doing work for other subject areas. I also sponsor the Student Council and Key Club extracurricular activities. Student computers would be helpful to keep everything in one place and to work on during the meetings, rather than having to send the students all over the building to print fliers, letters, etc. Another need is a laptop and projector to use to display Power Point presentations, data, labs, quizzes, videos, etc. The other things on my list are more under the want category, because I can't use them as effectively without student computers.
