Class Description:
Peirce is currently upgrading the technology in the library. We will soon have new web-based software to make searching our 15,000 item library and databases easier than ever. We are committed to creating 21st Century learners and information seekers.

The library is the viewing center for the school. All the students are in the library weekly, and most faculty meetings are held in the library. We need to upgrade our presentation equipment to enhance these activities.
My Philosophy:
Identify the source materials as efficiently as possible, gather the information needed to inform the direction of the project and let the creative energy flow.

Illinois certified library media specialist. Librarian for Peirce School- Chicago Public Schools, 16 years.
Why Do I Teach?:
Peirce is a Pre-K - 8 urban elementary school in Chicago. The library services 750 children and 30 faculty members.
