Class Description:
I work at a continuation high school in a self contained classroom for secondary students. We are set up to do all of our academic work on computers. We attempt to assist students who are behind schedule in earning credits towards graduation. our school is small and we lack electives that are required by the state to graduate. AlthoughI can offer some hard core academics as electives- I would prefer that the students have alternatives as so I request the flip cams.

About Me:
I am one of 5 educators in a family of nine.
College and Degrees:
BA in dance from DOMINICAN- UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA 1983 CREDENTIAL UCSF -1994
Activities:
I spent the better part of 20 years either as a full or part time student while maintaining an income through a variety of jobs. I am unable to increase my income by continuing my education or as an educator as I have exceeded the limits that would permit me to do so.
Favorite Books:
I enjoy most reading encyclopedias and science magazines.

Interests:
photography, dance, visual arts, medicine and sciences, raising my children.
Employment History:
over a twenty year period - I took on more than 100 jobs- to get HANDS ON experience that would assist me in a whole person approach to education. At each point that I felt I understood the job well enough, I began to look for the next.
Why Do I Teach?:
SINCE 3RD GRADE I KNEW THAT I WANTED TO TEACH. I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TEACH A VARIETY OF MATERIALS AND SUBJECTS TO A VARIETY OF GRADES AND AGES. TEACHING KEEPS ME INVOLVED AND YOUNG AT HEART.
