Single Unit Why I need this:
WE have one of these units for our whole school to share. They are amazing for my science club. I can get on line to amazing sites such as Discovery Channel and download wonderful science videos and experiements. I then use the projector to help the whole group see instead of crowding around a small computer screen. I also use the projector to show videos and class made DVD and powerpoints. It is difficult to get my hands on the school owned projector when you have to share with 20 other teachers. I could use this projector 4 to 5 days a week.

My Philosophy:
I believe that it is important to lead and influence by example. If I can put technology in the students' hands, the learning experience is amplified. It takes a village to educate a child and with the world at our fingertips through today's technology, why not make teh "village" as large as our whole planet. With technology you can bring the world and its people and cultures into the classroom.

About Me:
I am a 10+ year veteran at the same school I began my career. My duaghter attends the same school I teach at. We love our small, family friendly community. I am a huge childrens' literature collector. I love to travel. I enjoy teaching science to the after care students at our school.
College and Degrees:
I am a graduate of West Chester University in Pennsylvania. I am currenty finishing up my Reading Masters and USF in Florida and will graduate in May. I will begin my certification in ESOL studies at USF in the fall.
Activities:
I am active at my church. I travel with my family.
Favorite Books:
I enjoy all chilren's literature. Some of my favorites that I have reread over and over; The Giver, Holes, Maniac Magee, and The Cay.
