In music we work on musical concepts and explore these concepts using keyboard, guitars, drums, and computers. The students are very motivated and will move from activity to activity many times in a week. It is a beautiful layout of well organized chaos.
Position:
Music
Needs:
We have been lucky to procure (through grants and other sponsorships) class sets of chromebooks for our students, but need a cart in which to house them! Students use the chromebooks to compose, practice theory and aural skills, and to record their work.
My Philosophy:
Teaching to meet the needs of all children is the driving force behind a successful school and music program. Music is the lifeblood of many students', and a well supported music program can lay the foundations for developing school culture. A music classroom is a haven for students to work peacefully together and to create, perform, absorb, and teach.

Why Do I Teach?:
I love to empower people to believe that they are musicians. My strengths are working with older beginners and I love that Lindblom allows me the chance to do this! I believe it is important to stress the accessibility of music and to validate all ways of engaging with music.
