Epson PowerLite LCD Projector, $999.95, 0.00% raised
Epson PowerLite LCD Projector
Single Unit Why I need this:
The projector would be an essential tool for me to use for instruction as well as for my students to use for presentations. I have had to borrow the grade level projector and have limited access to it due to its high demand (there are four other 5th grade level teachers). I would like for my class to have one of their own so that we have it accessible whenever necessary.

Class Description:
Classroom student body is composed of both African American and Latino students. 90% of my Latino students are English learners. All of my students qualify to the free lunch program.
Position:
Teacher
Needs:
The students show various needs across the different curriculum areas, specifically math and language arts. The majority of the students have scored either far below basic or below basic during the prior years, and I hope to help them show progress this year.
My Philosophy:
I believe that all students have the ability to learn, but in order for them to learn they need to put in the effort and the only way they put in the effort is if what they are learning is engaging. I know they hold many posibilities and my goal is to make them come to school knowing that they will always learn something new each day.

Why Do I Teach?:
I decided to get into this field because I believe an education is the most priceless gift anyone could ever receive. There are many opportunities that one can have from learning from others, and I teach to learn and also to be learned from.
