My Philosophy:
I believe it is my job to motivate and prepare my students for life ahead. Even though my subject is US History, I teach life skills to them. We are a better society when we have informed, interested citizens!

I have been teaching for 35 years and don't plan to quit anytime soon!
College and Degrees:
BA from LaGrange College in History MST from Georgia Southern University in History
Activities:
At my school I sponsor the Student Government Association and also coach the Quiz Bowl Team. On my own time I love to read and travel, especially to historic sites.
Favorite Books:
political thrillers, quality historical fiction
Employment History:
I've taught at two schools during my career: First 8 years at Worth Academy in Sylvester, GA and for the last 27 I've been at Vidalia High School in Vidalia, GA
Why Do I Teach?:
I love my students and want them to be prepared for life after High School, whether that be college, tech school or career.
