Class Description:
In the fall, I will once again be teaching Fourth Grade! I am very excited to get back to my classroom and the work I enjoy. Throughout the day I teach reading, writing, and science to my students. I am always very impressed by both the rate of growth of my students and the respect the give to each other as individuals.

I love technology and I currently am in need of an Elmo Document Projector. I would love for my students to be able to experience the science experiments and authentic writing creations that having this technology would make possible.

My philosophy of education is simple. I believe that student needs should be met head on with authentic and inquiry based learning opportunities.

About Me:
I am a pretty simplistic person. I enjoy spending time with my wife and two miniature dachshunds. I love music and am a church musician. I enjoy live theater and gardening.

Why Do I Teach?:
Teaching for me was a calling, not a choice. Even as a child, teaching was something I knew I must do. The most rewarding part of my career has always been the ability to give back to others. This giving back is a way of paying hommage to the many wonderful teachers who were blessing in my life.
