Class Description:
Dave and Brad are itinerant therapists within the Chicago Public Schools. They have a combined total caseload of approximately 100 children, who are ages 3 to 11 years.
Position:
Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapist
Needs:
Children have a wide range of physical and cognitive disabilities, with medical diagnosis from Down's Syndrome, Developmental Delay, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Learning Disability, and Severe and Profound Cognitive Delay.
My Philosophy:
Dave and Brad hope to implement their philosophy of "Facilitated Discovery," which is an all-encompasing term to refer to the total enlightening and functional improvement that a child can make when exposed to creative and approprate fine motor and gross motor school-based learning opportunities.
