Pleasant Grove Elementary Sch
Class Information:
Room Number: 119
Students per Class: 18
Class Description:
I love my class. This year, my class is very active; therefore, I make sure my lessons leave room for lots of movement. Students need to be able to explore, move around, and figure things out for themselves. There is a lot of discovery learning taking place. I always encourage my students not to stop at the clouds, but to reach for the stars. They are constantly coming up to me, letting me know about things that they found out at home about the previous day's lesson. I makes me proud when I see them truely understanding that material, and wanting to learn more about it.
Position:
3rd grade teacher
Needs:
I am always in need of technology. I have so many plans, but those plans are on hold until I am able to have the technology to bring those plans into reality. My dream is just to have a projector and a ActivBoard in my room.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I am a very outgoing person, maybe that is why my students are too, who loves to try new things. I am always looking forward to learning new things. Mastering a new skill always brings a smile to my face and a sense of acheivement.
College and Degrees:
I have a B.S. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education
Activities:
I love to read, watch movies, and learn new things
Favorite Books:
I love to read books about World War II history, classic literature, Christian apologetics, and anything that is worth reading
Why Do I Teach?:
There are so many typical answers that could be given, but I have to be honest here. My childhood was not the best, not the worest either, but I swore to myself that I would make a difference. I was going to make sure that the children that walked into my classroom would know that I care about them as a person and as a student. Those teachers that took the time to care are the ones that we remember and love the most, not those that were just there for a pay check.
