East Side Intermediate School
Class Information:
Students per Class: 20
Class Description:
East Side Intermediate School has a low socio-economic population with classes as large as 25 students, including special needs students.
Position:
Science / Social Studies Teacher
Needs:
Technology is needed to engage students in the lessons and prepare them for the technologically advanced world ahead of them. So often students see their teachers using technology in the classroom yet are not allowed to explore the technology themselves. My students need more hands on technology equipment to enhance learning.
My Philosophy:
Education is a life-long journey of learning to learn. My philosophy is to teach students to teach themselves. As an educator, my goal is to enhance student learning by providing guidance and support as well as the fundamental knowledge of the content area. The use of technology encourages student learning in all subject areas. My role is to teach the student life long learning skills. The future of this generation lies in their ability to not only operate, but to embrace innovative technologies. As educators, we are responsible for teaching students to live and prosper in the 21st century.

Favorite Quotes:
The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires. --- William Authur Ward
