Sealy High School
Class Information:
Room Number: 133
Students per Class: 25 yearbook, 86 English 2
Class Description:
My 25 yearbook staffers are spread over two class periods. We will produce a 160 page all color yearbook with a 16 page advertising insert using four computers, InDesign CS, Photoshop CS and two, yes only two, digital cameras that we share with the newspaper staff.
Position:
English 2/Yearbook Adviser
Needs:
Cameras. Digital SLR is a dream, but point and shoots would be a blessing. We also need a high-powered flash for our existing Canon Rebel. I am the fourth yearbook adviser in 4 years, so the program has been neglected. Upgrades are needed in computers, software, scanners, etc., but cameras are our big concern right now.

Employment History:
I am in my 13th year of teaching. I have taught all over south Texas, including Kenedy, San Antonio, Schertz, Sinton and Sealy. I have taught seventh grade ELA, English I and II, photojournalism and journalism. I have advised literary magazine and yearbook. This is my sixth year as a yearbook adviser.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because every day is different and certainly never boring. I love watching them come to school as goofy freshmen and leave as mature seniors (OK, somewhat mature). Even though I'm becoming more and more like my mother, I will always know what is hip in terms of fashion, slang and music thanks to "my kids".
