The list goes on: digital cameras (goal of 100), digital video equipment, projector and doc. cameras and replacement bulbs, printers, ink, paper, lab sets of reading software, dollars to fund a full time teacher and educational assistant. A student Tech Team that provides one student in each class a laptop for the years they are on the team and meet monthly with the teacher for instruction and exploration.
My Philosophy:
All people learn when they are invested in what is presented to them. As a result, we need to provide children with challenges that excite, entice, and encourage production of a product that allows them to share their creativity and enthusiasm. Don't be afraid to ask the kids what is working and what isn't. Ask for their help to accomplish a task or to help other students. Listen to what they tell you and try to incorporate their ideas. Never give up on a child.
