Class Description:
I teach third graders in my multimedia classroom. We use a SMART Board and a 6 pack of computers in my room for digital lessons, projects, and activities. I love teaching third graders.

My classroom really needs a digital camera. This would allow students to use the pictures they take in various projects and activities.

I graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Music.

Interests:
My interests include computers, gardening, reading, and most of all, playing the piano. I began playing the piano by ear at age 5, took piano lessons for 14 years, and am now an accomplished pianist.
Employment History:
This is my 19th year teaching third graders I have taught in the same classroom for all those years, but have NOT taught in the same way. Technology integration revolutionized my classroom 6 years ago and I've never looked back and wished for the old ways.
Why Do I Teach?:
Teaching is a challenge, an opportunity to be creative, and it provides me with the chance to help my students be inspired to be the best they can be. I love teaching.
