Needs:
Teaching in an old trailer has left me with many needs. While I do have a projector and laptop, I am in dire need of smartboards, projector screens, and classroom computers. Our entire department is in need of new educational resources that utilize the internet and new technology to engage our growing student population. Resources are stretched thin in the state, so we must rely in part on the generosity of others.
My Philosophy:
I believe that each student is capable of learning if they are engaged in the lesson being presented. With the growing size of classrooms, engaging each student has become progressively more difficult. New technologies have enabled teachers to reach their students on a level they are comfortable with, as well as teaching them useful applications for future employment or education. If we concern ourselves with the improvement of each student on an equal playing field, I believe our mission as teachers of the future of this country can be realized.

Why Do I Teach?:
I wanted to make a difference and have an exciting career that brings fresh challenges on a daily basis. I enjoy working with students and I feel that if I can change the life of even one student per year, that I have accomplished something that many people are never able to do in their job.
