Class Description:
I teach the science lab in an Elementary School for grades K-5. I also produce the morning news for the school with a group of students.
Position:
Science Resource Teacher
Needs:
I need a professional camera, and video camera with tripod, SD cards, extra batteries and case for taking pictures on and off campus for the news. My newsroom students and I have taken various computer classes that would enable us to use these properly. We have taken photoshop CS3, livetype, garageband, imovie, iDVD. I have taken and am teaching the students to work in Final Cut Pro also. We are serious about producing a quality, interesting, and informative news show each morning. We do documentaries, interviews, stories and reports on the interesting things that go on in the school and in our community. We could also use the camera for taking photos for our school yearbook, and STAR book for the school. We also would use it to take pictures to send to the local newspaper to report the special events in our school and community that our students particpate in.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I love teaching! I love the interaction with the children. I feel like I make a difference in their lives for good. I am very loving and kind and giving to the students, yet demand their very best in studies and effort and character. This is my eleventh year teaching, I have taught sixth grade, eighth grade language arts, music K-5, 2nd grade, and now science lab K-5, and Media in the news room. I have two sons, 21 & 24 years of age and I'm been married for 29 years. I write, produce, and sing my own music. I have produced two CD's and hope to do a children's CD that will inspire children all around the world to be all that they can be.
College and Degrees:
I have a BA in Elementary Education, Bible, and English. I graduated from SouthEastern University, in Lakeland, Florida, and have taken some masters classes at University of South Florida.
Activities:
I sing in my church choir, and sing at various functions and events. I have my own weekly radio program on a local radio station. I workout five days a week. I also join my husband and sons going to classis cars shows.

Why Do I Teach?:
I love children! I want to make a difference in their lives for good. I teach and model for them to be loving and kind and considerate to each other, to work hard for what they want, to dream and believe that their dreams can come true. I believe its all about vision. If you have that vision and dream, it will come to you.
