Class Description:
Technology Class with 30 computers used to teach typing, word processing, spreadsheet, database and research skills in 6 week classes to all 750 6th, 7th and 8th graders. All staff are invited to professional development sessions on integration of technology into the curriculum and enhancement of lesson plans for student centered curriculum.

Needs:
Use of multimedia provides more opportunities for student centered presentations and interactive lesson plans. We would like to offer teachers and students more opportunities to learn to use multimedia and audio/podcasts in their lesson plans or as a student product in their many projects.

Why Do I Teach?:
To provide basic computer literacy and introduction to business skills students can learn from the understanding and use of technology. Students and teachers need to use technology on a daily basis to provide a competitive edge in the job marketplace.
