Why I need this:
My students have very little technology available to them both at home and at school. Many of them do not have access to the internet and rarely get to use a computer. A projector would be a great way to expose my whole class to the digital world, while also enhancing our math, literacy, science, and social studies lessons! We would use it to show educational clips available on the internet. For example, we are currently working on a unit on the Civil Rights Movement. The projector would allow us to show actual footage available on the internet from the movement. In science, we will be doing a unit on ideas and inventions. With the projector, we can show students clips that will give them background knowledge before starting their investigations. Overall, the projector would serve as a great introduction to the digital world for our students, and will also help enhance their understanding of the curriculum. |
