Class Description:
I have been teaching for over 20 years. As the educational climate has changed, so has the needs of my students. No longer must a child just sit in a chair and act as a trained dog. The 21st century student is technologically more savvy and their learning needs to be on par with this .i unfortunately as a classroom teacher am not able to bring this together in my classroom. I need help. I believe one way I can bridge the divide is by having a device that each child could use so that I can create a type of blended learning model in my classroom. I believe by doing this I can achieve an even greater amount of success in my classroom through innovation and a higher quality of instruction.

Needs:
I would love to have 25 high quality I pads for each student. We are now a stem/steam center and having these I pads for student use allow them to create and design projects that are relevant to their learning.
My Philosophy:
I want to give my students the tools they will need to become successful so they can compete in a world that wants people who think outside the box. Clearly, being an innovator has its perks.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I was inspired to do so. I teach because I asked myself how could I make a difference in someones life? Teaching was the natural choice. Was it easy? No! Lotta tears. Lotta sleepless nights. But I eventually got in to the groove. Now with the stem/steam /Ngss , coupled with how these babies need to taught to approach learning I've got to get my act together and fast!
