Class Description:
Community Christian is a small, non-profit, independent K-12 school that serves the East Bay Area. We cater to low-income, inner-city families that are looking for a safe alternative to surrounding public school systems.
Position:
English Teacher/ Vice Principal
Needs:
Our computer lab has not been updated since 1995. We would like to expand online learning and software curriculum, but we need the tools.
My Philosophy:
Every student has a purpose, potential and promise. As an educator and an administrator, I make it my personal goal to evaluate and accommodate each student individually. I prepare students to be valuable contributors to society regardless of race or socio-economic status. I organize my curriculum around the belief that the mastered skills of reading and writing are essential to achieving academic and career goals. I aim to provide students with a sense of empowerment, self confidence, and motivation in order to ignite change in their communities.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I believe in the human capacity for change. Students who live within the cycles of drug-abuse and poverty need tools in order to break out. I teach to reach the one student that may have fallen through the cracks. I view teaching as a valuable investment into the future of leaders of America
