I'm new to the world of public education, but had worked with adults for almost 20 years in paper manufacturing, maintaining and educating employees in technology. With the paper industry heading down hill, I chose to seize a dream opportunity to teach children in the same home town. It was a difficult decision because of the tremendous pay loss, but a wise decision in the end. The paper mill announced its closure just a month after I started my new career. I believe it’s been a smooth transition for me into public education. I’ve just had to learn to be very creative with the limited funding available to support our district in technology. I'm glad I was informed about this site.
