in the teaching profession since 1985, subbed for 2 years, got my credential and have been teaching for 23 years.
Why Do I Teach?:
I think I have the ability to connect to children so that they not only learn but find the joy of learning. I love seeing the progression from the beginning of the school year to the end and the growth that most of them make. I feel that I serve a greater good by providing a safe, moral, environment for the children in my class and that they leave everyday knowing that there is someone in their world that truly cares about them. I in turn, make many friends of these children and their parents, and whether they remember me years from now or not is not important; knowing that I did my best to better their world, inform them and get them ready for life is rewarding. I know that I will leave this earth having done something good for many people, unselfishly, and hopefully they will do something for others as well.
