Class Description:
I teach first grade at Keenburg Elementary School located in Elizabethton,Tn. We are a part of the Carter County School System. I usually average between 17-22 students each year. Our School is a Title I school with almost 80% of our 300 students on free/reduced lunch. Which means I teach in a very low socioeconomic area.

Needs:
We have three hand me down computers that are very slow. We can barely get through our tests with out them locking up. The highlight of our room is our overhead projector when the bulb works. We would love to have a computer that works all day...also a projector that hooks up to the computer so I can show powerpoints on the whiteboard for our reading lessons.
My Philosophy:
I believe that every child deserves an education that fosters creativity, love, empathy, and knowledge. I want to make sure each child has the opportunity to grow and learn in a safe and secure environment.
