Do whatever it takes to keep students engaged and excited about learning. This includes making myself available outside of school to help tutor students and involving students in science related community service activities.

30 years of science instruction at Reynolds HS; primarily chemistry and the physical sciences
College and Degrees:
BS in Biology and Chemistry MS in Science Education
Activities:
Teach chemistry, the physical sciences in general, coordinate and teach driver education, play my cello regularly, have coached wrestling for 14 years, and am married, the father of three grown sons and two grandsons.
Favorite Books:
Anything having to do with science and religion seems to draw my attention at present.

Interests:
Enjoy playing my cello for weddings, church, etc. Enjoy hiking, camping, skiing, etc. Enjoy teaching all young children about nature and science

Why Do I Teach?:
I love the interaction with children and science. The field of science lends itself to opening a doorway to the mind, imagination, and emotions of all people, but especially children. My joy is acting as a catalyst to make that door open to children.
