Class Description:
I teach 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students in a low socio economic community. I teach in the intermediate gifted program.

My Philosophy:
Gifted students are excited by technology and I incorporate technology into the curriculum through student created digital storytelling and interactive powerpoint. I feel that students learn through inquiry based lessons and children need to learn problem solving skills to be successful. These lessons include experiments, research, cooperative learning and an introduction to world issues.

I love hiking and reading. I play summer volleyball. I also enjoy traveling.
Why Do I Teach?:
I come from a familiy of teachers. My dad taught 6th grade, my mom taught and my sister teaches.
