Every year I have about 110 - 120 students. These students come from all socio-economic branches. I often teach a group of ESL students who are mostly hispanic and middle eastern. In the area I teach in, the unemployment percent is very high and students are struggling ot make ends meet. I teach two classes of regular language arts, one of AIG, and one comprised of reluctant readers and writers. The school has run out of supplies towards the end of the last two years. Paper in particular has not been available. Therefore, my hope is that doing lessons on more digital items will help.

I love discussing what I know with students. I love the "ah ha" moment that you see when kids finally get it. I am passionate about language arts and I want students to be able to appreciate it, if not love it.
