Class Description:
I teach computer science at a high school in central PA. The courses we offer include Programming I and II, Web Design I and II, and AP Computer Science. I encourage all students to take at least one of these courses to expose them to the wonders of technology and the potential for making a difference.
Position:

Digital cameras, video recorders, xbox controllers, xbox (we are using XNA to teach programming which allows students to create games that can be exported to an xbox).
My Philosophy:
Project based/hands-on learning is key. Students need to be provided with real-life problems that they can solve on an increasing level of difficulty.This provides students with the skills to solve any problem.

About Me:
I love my job. I was a Director of Technology for a large Insurance Company while I went back to school to get my teaching degree. I worked in the programming field for over 18 years when I was was hired by Mifflin County School District at a Math teacher. After two years I switched to Computer Science and I found the career of my dreams. This is where I was meant to be, in the classroom, teaching the subject I love to students.
College and Degrees:

Activities:
Programming, Web Design, Raising my 7 year old (which means baseball, basketball, WII, etc)
