Class Description:
I teach 5 sections of Special Education Social Science , which includes World and U.S. History, Government and Economics, serving students ingrades 10-12. Students particpate in hands-on projects in collaborative groups and particpate in role-playing simulations in order to bring the curriculum alive and connect the past to their current lives.

Needs:
We have been chosen to participate in a video project, but with state budget freezes, we are unable to acquire the needed video camera equipment to complete project assignments.
My Philosophy:
I believe that students learn best through achievement. Project-based learning activities that utilize technology make the grade level social science curriculum accessible to students learning styles and allow students to demonstrate their knowledge og the content.
