My Philosophy:
Every child can learn and deserves the chance to experience life. I am a firm believer in whatever it takes. It is my hope that parents will assist me in enthusiastically bringing life to their child's education. After all, these young minds are the decision makers of our future.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I am a 4th year teacher. I grew up in Bellflower and taught for 3 years at my old neighborhood school. I was spoiled by the city's theatrical programs and was given such scaffolding, that I went on to the Orange County High School of the Arts because of it. I completed college, received a Masters degree and began teaching at my old school to give a little back. I have a loving, hard working husband and 2 beautiful hard working, intelligent children. I am the luckiest person alive!

Activities:
I have taught 2,3,5,6 and now have been given the honor of teaching 8th grade in a new school. I have lead as G.A.T.E. Facilitator, and Student Council Advisor.
Favorite Books:
Nissa's Place, Olive's Ocean, Bloomability, in the process of devouring Twilight
Favorite Quotes:
"Live, Laugh, Sing and Dream"(?) "You are as great as the people you surround yourself with" (?)"There is a choice you have to make, in everything you do. So keep in mind that in the end, the choice you make, makes you." (John Wooden)
Interests:
Singing, Acting, Skiing, Dancing, Skating, Beach, jetskiing, cruises, bike riding, swimming, spending time with my kids and husband, spending time with my extended family, writing poetry, emailing!
Employment History:
I have worked as a clerk in many offices, I was a daycare provider and an assistant manager of a daycare, I have also worked as an usher at Knotts Berry Farm.
Why Do I Teach?:
I love making the standards come alive and become meaningful for students. I always wanted to better understand why I was learning what I was learning, and so I try to bring that into my classroom. It is an extension of the stage, only what I present is integral to a students development as a productive citizen and human being! I also love learning. As much as I love to teach, I learn everyday from my colleagues and most from the kids!
