Class Description:
I have a new tablet that engages the students with exquisite educational apps that are downloaded. However, one of my computers don't work properly.
Position:
2nd Grade Teacher
Needs:
I need a laptop to show the educational videos that the students will need while exploring on the internet while playing interactive learning games. The chiildren will need to watch six syllable types videos to reinforce their phonics skills.
My Philosophy:
Everybody is Somebody means that all my students are important to get an opportunity to use a laptop to help them solve math problems. Also, they will be able to learn about natural resources, play reading street interactive vocabulary games, compare grammar jammer language videos with avatar writer source x-box language skills and envision math tools to justify place value.
Personal Information:
About Me:
My name is Mr. Jack. I am a second grade teacher that loves to teach children. I have two clubs in my classroom that supports good classroom behavior and passing academic grades. My club that incorporates good conduct is called the E Club which meets weekly on Fridays doing my lunch break. The students must have an E in conduct in my class and all other ancillary teachers classes for the entire week. Also, the other club is called the Systems Club. System Club stands for Show Your Strategies To Exquisitely Meet Standards. You have to show your work and do your strategies on all your tests and make a passing grade of 70 or higher. If you make passing grades on all your tests for the week, then you can eat lunch with me on Thursdays.
College and Degrees:
I attended the University of Houston Central. My major was Communications. Also, I have a minor in Spanish and Hotel Restaurant Management. I attended the University of Phoenix Houston. I have a master degree in Business Administration.
Activities:
I love to read books like Teach like a Champion and Chocolate Fever. My students are elated when I read to them at school. I developed two new stations in my classroom. I have an interactive story map wall where kids use sticky notes to write and draw informations that they read from their books. Also, I noticed that my students were having problems with ABC ordering their spelling and vocabulary words. Indeed, I made a ABC activity word wall that lets them put words in order on an interactive sticky note board.

Interests:
I like to play pool, study spanish, exercise, zumba, go dancing and cook healthy meals.

I have worked at Hisd for five years. I love to engage my kids and I have never missed a day of work at Scroggins Elementary.
