Class Description:
I am a resource teacher in a public elementary school and I teach grades kindergarten through 2nd. At this time I have two kindergarten students, six 1st grade students and seven 2nd grade students. My caseload changes frequently due to more students being tested and placed in resource or students that transfer. All of my students have an IEP and are being served for reading, math or writing based on their academic needs. My group is composed of 5 girls and 10 boys, 4 Caucasian, 10 African American and 1 Hispanic.

Needs:
My students are busy little learners that love technology. With a projector installed I could generate interactive lessons and pull them up instantly, creating an engaging learning experience while minimizing opportunities for students to turn their attention somewhere else. Students can also use the board safely without the danger of tripping over cords on the floor. They can use the board for presentations, interactive educational programs and hands on activities.
My Philosophy:
I would like to offer my students the same opportunities as in the general education class or more and to expose them to a variety of educational experiences to meet their academic needs. Because of their educational needs I feel like we should focus more on how we can
