Class Description:
Peer Educating; The mission of the Union City High School Peer Educators are made up of Modern Living II students in grades 10-12. These students want to make a difference by educating their peers, parents, and other members of the community. It is through the Community Family Night and other programs sponsored by this group that barriers between our school and community will come down.
Position:
Family & Consumer Sciences Educator
Needs:
The class is in need of technology items. We received a digital camcorder, a laptop, and a digital camera through a grant. We are not able to purchase needed equipment without grant and fundraising money.
My Philosophy:
The peer Educators at Union City are a group of students who care about the future of our school. They tackle issues that effect their peers. Bullying, over-the-counter drugs, gun safety, pregnancy, steriods, etc. It is through the work of these students and the use of technology that they will be able to make a difference.
