Class Description:
I teach 6-8th grade ART! I love to explore non-traditional media and strive to give my students opportunities to stretch their creative minds!

Needs:
I would like to integrate technology into my classroom in order to begin meeting the needs of our pre-highschool students. With technology intertwined into so many parts of our lives, I feel middle school students should begin to get a digital arts education. My plan is to be 1:1 ipad in the art room by 2020! This will allow students to hone in on digital art skills like animation, digital drawing and design as well as traditional methods like drawing on paper, sculpture and collage.
My Philosophy:
Every person is creative...we must give students opportunities to unlock that creativity so they can learn how use their creative powers in their future endeavors!

About Me:
I teach in Middle Tennessee and love my school. I have been teaching 21 years and plan to retire from teaching! I come to school everyday ready to listen, learn and inspire the young minds that are co-learning with me.
College and Degrees:
I graduated in 1996 from the University of California, Chico. I have a Bachelors of Art, art studio with an emphasis in: painting and ceramics.
Activities:
I love to spend time with family and friends, go camping, go shopping, watch movies and tv, play on my phone, and drink coffee.
