I am married and have a daughter entering her senior year of college. I am teaching in the same city where I grew up. I have been teaching for 21 years.
College and Degrees:
I have a BS in chemistry from Western Kentucky University. My M.A. in Secondary Education is from Murray State University.
Activities:
I am active in my local education association and my state education association participating in our science training cadre and holding several offices.
Interests:
I am my family's genealogist. I have been compiling our family history for almost 20 years. I am now using DNA to assist me. I also crochet.
Employment History:
Currently, I teach at Paducah Tilghman High School where I have taught for 15 years. Prior to that, I taught at St Mary School System here in Paducah for 3 years after moving home to help take care of my father and grandmother. Prior to that, I taught for three years at Arkansas Baptist High School, now known as Baptist Preparatory School.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach to make a difference in students' lives. I want students to enjoy science and be excited by it.
