Class Description:
Our school has a 57% free and reduced lunch population. We are an ELL school. I have a very large class this year with a huge range in abilities. Reading levels in my room vary from early first grade to ninth grade. With this huge range, I really depend on technology to help me address each child's specific needs.

What our school could really use is a new computer lab. Our old lab is filled with Apple iMacs. It crashes constantly and the machines are just not able to handle the new websites that are available. We cannot put OSX onto these machines as they are just too old. I'd love to have a new computer lab to use with my kids.
My Philosophy:
My philosophy is simple. Make learning as fun and hands-on as possible. Get the kids involved in everything. I believe in getting the kids ready to enter a digital world. Unfortunately, we just don't have the equipment to do that. I'd love help in getting our school up to speed with the real world!

About Me:
I have taught elementary school for 23 years. I think it is the best job out there! However, the challenges are becoming more and more difficult. There are more mandates and more kids and less funds available with which to work. I love teaching, but I need help.
College and Degrees:
I attended the University of Minnesota and received a BS in education.
Activities:
I love reading, listening to educational podcasts, learning new technologies, and playing with my two dogs.
