Class Description:
I teach Middle School science to grades 6-8 in a rural school in southern Michigan. We are a Title One school with great economic need. We are starting a STEM program to begin developing our students for the new world that is growing exponentially around them. This requires them to be able to use the new technology and is why I am requesting a SMART board for my classroom. I share a classroom with two math teachers, an ELA teacher and a Title one teacher.

My Philosophy:
My philosophy is to develop students so that they are prepared to solve problems that do not yet exist, critically think through those problems and come up with multiple solutions and be able to explain and defend those solutions, and be part of a team.

I have been a teacher and administrator for 30 years. I love teaching and am passionate about my students.

I love to enjoy nature and be outside and active. I also love reading and talking with friends about life!
