Class Description:
I teach in a self conatined classroom. Currently I have 25 students, 3 of which are on an IEP for learning disabilities.
Position:
4th grade
Needs:
Currently I am looking for a digital camera to use in my classroom in addition to shooting other events in my school. I am also looking for material to help sturggling students with reading and spelling.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I have been teaching for 14 years at the same school. I am currently teaching fourth grade, although I have taught grade 3 as well and looped up to fourth with my class. I love teaching at Hopewell, especially since I was once a student there!
College and Degrees:
My undergraduate degree is from The University of Cincinnati and my graduate degree is from Wright State University. Currently I m taking computer classes through Ashland University.
Activities:
I am our Student Council and Just Say No To Drugs Sponsor. I also teach an after school video class. Finally, I take video and pictures of almost all of the special events during and after school. I use these videos and pictures throughout the year and put them together to make about 3 movies a year.

Interests:
Cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals, Reds, and Bearcats. Scrapbooking, visiting Disney World, collecting Goofy items, volunteering for charity organizations.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach for the kids. I want each child to know that he/she is important and that they matter. I want them to realize that they can all learn, it's a matter of timing and presentation. My goals for my students are simple, develop a good self image, develop thinking and problem solving skills, learn to accept responsibility, learn to accept and respect people as individuals, and work cooperatively.
