Why I need this:
I utilize a lot of multimedia in my instructional planning (i.e. DVDs, streamed video, Power Point, Internet). I also engage students in the production of multimedia presentations. Specific activities include, but are not limited to modeling computer skills that students then apply/practice in a computer lab setting. I also use it (along with a laptop) to model and share write with my classes. I utilize streamed video and DVDs to provide background building experiences with my students prior to their engagement with text. At present, I do these activities through my desktop computer station which is then connected to a 27" television monitor. However, the size and wall placement of the television does not promote optimal viewing or student interaction with the visual aide. |
