Class Description:
I teach 8th Grade Integrated Science and an elective science course called Science Exploration. In my science courses I try to encourage active learning by implementing lessons that involve hands on experiments and critical thinking strategies that the students will find enjoyable as well as educational.
Position:
Scinece Teacher
Needs:
I would like 10 digital cameras. These supplies would allow my students to take photos of lab findings, develop interesting and visual lab reports, and encourage professional presentation techniques.
My Philosophy:
I believe science is a way of thinking about and looking at the world. I encourage my students to ask questions and find answers not only in class but though out the rest of their lives.

About Me:
During the day I am a Jr. High Science Teacher, but after school I am a wife, mother, and community volunteer.
College and Degrees:
I went to Utah State University and graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Composite Physical Science Secondary Education with an emphasis in physics.
Activities:
I love being outdoors. Walking, hiking, and camping are some of my favorite activities.I am also an avid reader, and love finding a good book.

Interests:
I love being involved in my community. I try to volunteer whenever I can to help activities and causes which I support. My most recent position was as a volunteer story teller at my local library, because literacy is important.
Employment History:
Since graduating from USU I have been a full time teacher at Bountiful Jr. High.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I love sharing what I love with the next generation.
