Georgetown Elementary
Class Information:
Room Number: 204
Students per Class: 28
Class Description:
I have a classroom of super second graders! I work with children who have autism, one with Down's Syndrome, and the rest are your average children who love to learn at this age!
Position:
Teacher
Needs:
We are in need of: 2 digital cameras, one movie camera, 4 ipods, and 3 classroom computers. The classroom computers would be great for our Reading Counts quizzes, math and reading fluency, special projects and internet research. (We study animals, solar system, American history, and the environment to name a few.) I could think of many more uses as well! The digital cameras are used for our class newsletters, claymations projects, story writing and more! The movie camera would be great for re-enacting history, taping presentations of special student projects, and making our own stories and videos! The ipods would be great for podcasting lessons for sick students, lessons for English language learners, and books on podcast. I get so excited when I think of how we could expand our learning, at the same time engaging the students in new technology - the way of the future!
