Class Description:
Our school is in a rural area of Tennessee and the students come from homes of limited means and experiences. We are a Title I school and there are 68% of our students on free or reduced lunch.

Personal Information:
About Me:
I am a mother of three boys and have been teaching for 14 years. I love to walk and jog when I can work it in my schedule and I do yoga stretches each day.
College and Degrees:
I received my BS from East TN State Univ. and my Masters in Ed. from Tusculum College.
Activities:
I enjoy spending time with my children and playing outside. We walk and I jog when possible. I love to read and play at scrapbooking.

Interests:
I enjoy searching for and writing grants. My yearly classroom goal is to get a grant each year for some project in my room or school.
Employment History:
I have worked for the Washington County School System for the past 15 years. Before that I worked at the East Tennessee State Univ. Child Study Center in various positions.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because that is my purpose in life. I have always wanted to teach and I love each day of it.
